Spring Safety Checklist

Hi fur-iends! It’s me, Luke, here to bark out some tail-waggin’ safety tips for springtime adventures. I’ve been sniffing around and doing some VERY serious squirrel-watching and trust me—you don’t wanna skip this list!

1) Get those pokes and eat those chews!

Make sure you're up to date on your Lyme vaccine (nobody likes those sneaky ticks). And don’t fur-get your flea and tick stuff—whether it’s a Seresto collar or yummy monthly chews like NexGard and HeartGard. Ask your human’s vet for the best fit for your waggy self!

2) No zoomies on fertilized lawns!

That green grass might look pawsitively perfect, but if it’s just been fertilized—Paws Off It! Give it at least 24 hours. Those chemicals are NOT treat-worthy and can be super dangerous!

3) Stay hydrated, friends!

The sun is out, the walks are long, and the thirst is real. Keep fresh water close, especially when you’re out there sniffin' every bush and making new friends in the neighborhood.

4) Supervise your sniff sessions!

I know, I know... chasing bunnies and squirrels is the dream, but don’t go off-leash without a grown-up! My yard has a fence AND an invisible one (yeah, they really want me to stay safe). Oh—and don’t forget your ID tag! If you succeed with a Houdini escape act, you’ll want someone to help you find your way home.

5) Fluffy friends, it’s haircut season!

If you’re a long-haired pup like me, now’s the time to visit your groomer. A short spring cut will have you feeling light as a tennis ball. Trust me—you’ll be cooler and cuter (if that’s even pawsible).
